Evaluation Sheet for the

Indian Leather Painting
(10 points each)

1.  You first created a short story (either fiction or non-fiction) referencing back to the Indian symbol worksheet. Your story was at least 2 paragraphs long, 5 sentences each.

2.  Once you were satisfied with your story, you used the Indian symbol worksheet and drew out your story in picture form (every single word will not be illustrated) on rough draft paper. You then took a piece of leather and drew out your story images onto that.

3.  You painted the images of your story neatly. Once the paint was dry, you outlined the the images in black Sharpie marker. You added tree branches and twine around the edges of your leather painting to create a frame for your artwork.

4.  The overall look and appearance of your artwork and the time and effort you put into your artwork.
